Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) are non-invasive medical procedures that help physicians diagnose and assess cancers and other diseases, and determine the location(s) of disease. They help physicians find cancer earlier and treat it more successfully. PET/CT is also used in Cardiology (for heart disease) and in Neurology (for certain brain disorders including Alzheimer's Disease and dementias).
