Obtain a Prescription from your Physician

  • When your specialist or primary care physician refers you to our office to have a PET/CT examination performed, they will fax over all of the relevant information for your scan.
  • We will be able to contact you and arrange an appointment upon receiving your PET/CT prescription order.
  • If you know that you will be scanned at our facility, but have not yet been reached for an appointment, you are welcome to call and schedule yourself or discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.

Scheduling Your Appointment

  • If you have never been with us before, you will be asked to provide your basic information such as name, phone number, emergency contact information and referring physician. Additionally, you will be asked to bring your primary and secondary insurance cards with you, as well as a photo ID.
  • We will ask you to disclose any recent treatments you have undergone, including but not limited to: chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
  • If you have been to our office before, we will review this information with you to ensure it is correct.

Preparing for Your Appointment

  • We will overview how to prepare for your PET/CT scan and what to expect during your appointment, and then mail you reminder preparation instructions.
  • Please let us know if you will be able to provide your own transportation to and from the appointment, or whether you would like a service to take you. We will mail you directions to our facility, or you can download them here.
  • If you have had a PET/CT scan before, but at a different facility, we ask that you bring a CD with the images from any prior PET/CT scans so that our report to your referring physician reflects the comparison.

Confirming Your Appointment

  • Your scan appointment will be tentative based upon the precertification of your insurance for the procedure and our acquisition of the prescription order from your physician.
  • Please call our office before 10 a.m . the day before your appointment at 215-935-0030. If your appointment is on a Monday please call us on the previous Friday. This is required so that we can order the time-sensitive medication for your scan. If we do not speak with you we will not be able to perform your scan.

The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
